Yes, teachers must correct Lahn Jaliyy (Major Mistakes) and Hifdh mistakes. If a student makes too many mistakes, advise them to recite less than what they’ve signed up for.

Teachers should try not to show any facial expression, emotion, and/or bodily gestures (negative or positive) while a student is reciting or when they make a Hifdh mistake.

Teachers should ensure they complete the performance sheet given to each student, providing honest and fair comments.

The event is open to all approved and accepted participants, and it aims to provide an opportunity for individuals to connect with the book of Allah.

Sisters have the opportunity to review their previously memorized portions with a teacher and create an atmosphere of love among the people of the Qur’an.

All participants are required to attend from 6:30AM until the end of the program at 8:00PM. Refer to the timetable for full-day timings that will be provided.

Registration begins at 6:30AM. Upon confirmation of details, participants will receive lanyards, which must be kept visible at all times.

Participants arriving late should go to the registration area, where a COTQ member will assist them.

Yes, all participants must be appropriately dressed, ensuring proper coverage (awrah) for the event.

Family and friends are welcome as spectators but we advise no children under the age of 8 attend on the day.

Ablution and toilets are located on the ground floor. Sisters can enter through the main entrance.

Participants will be corrected on Tajweed errors and when there is a major mistakes (Lahn Jaliyy).

Clear recitation (Makhaarij) with Ghunnah is required.

Participants should be in front of their teacher when it’s their turn, limit break times, and allocate more time for recitation to complete their chosen ajzaa.

Each Juz should be recited in the Hadr pace, taking approximately 20–23 minutes. Participants in the Full Quran category need +/-10 hours and should recite as much as possible in one sitting.
